Valve has released a major update for Deadlock, completely revamping its core map. Gone are the four lanes; in their place is a more streamlined three-lane design, bringing the game closer to the familiar structure of traditional MOBAs.
This significant change will drastically alter gameplay. The previous "1 vs 2" lane distribution is obsolete. Expect to see two heroes per lane, forcing players to rethink resource management and team strategies entirely.

The map's redesign extends beyond lane count, affecting the placement of neutral camps, buffs, and other key elements. A new "map exploration" mode has also been added, allowing players to freely explore the revised layout without the pressure of combat, aiding familiarization with the changes.
The Soul Orb system has also received an overhaul. Players can now collect souls even without delivering the final blow, leading to faster resource accumulation. Further adjustments have been made to soul effects, notably reducing their air-hover time.
This update also includes refinements to sprint mechanics and character balance, alongside crucial additions such as DLSS, FSR, NVIDIA Reflex, and Anti-Lag 2.0 support. Performance improvements and bug fixes round out this substantial patch. For a complete list of changes, consult the official patch notes.
