How to Survive All Monsters in Pressure
This guide outlines how to defeat every monster in Pressure. Some are random encounters, others are Node monsters following specific paths, and some, like The DiVine, appear in specific areas. Learn the methods to handle them and recognize their warning signs to escape safely. Remember, prolonged hiding triggers Cleithrophobia, forcing you out of hiding. Observe the cues below and time your actions accordingly.
Pandemonium
Image by The EscapistFlickering lights signal a possible Pandemonium spawn. Avoid immediately hiding due to Cleithrophobia; instead, position yourself near a locker and wait for its roar. Pandemonium instantly kills anyone in its line of sight outside a locker. Entering a locker triggers a mini-game: keep the cursor centered as the monster slams the locker. Survive the mini-game, survive Pandemonium.
Good People
Image by The EscapistGood People spawns in rooms with dead-end doors, one being a Fake Door. Entering it results in an instant kill. Remember these cues:
Fake Door Cues: Listen for breathing, growling, sparks, or faintly visible scanlines on the navi-path sign near a door.
Dark Rooms: In dark rooms, Fake door navi-paths remain lit; real doors remain dark.
HQ Messages: If HQ directs you without revealing the wrong path, check for Fake Doors.
Eyefestation
Image by The EscapistThis shark-like monster appears in rooms overlooking the ocean. Avoid eye contact through the window; it drains HP. Simply leave the room to despawn it.
Squiddles
Image by The EscapistTurn off your light when you see Squiddles and avoid proximity. They appear in dark rooms. Turning off your light allows you to safely pass.
Locker Void-Mass
Image by The EscapistThese slimes spawn randomly in lockers. Entering an infested locker inflicts damage and traps you. Check for purple slime before entering. Trapped players take continuous damage until rescued or killed.
Wall Dweller
Image by The EscapistThese spawn in walls, emerging unexpectedly to insta-kill. Listen for out-of-sync footsteps. Turning around causes them to retreat. A teammate can bait and allow another player to kill it. Note: The Angler (see below) kills Wall Dwellers, leaving a health-restoring meat chunk.
Redeemer and Hanger
Image by The EscapistPicking up the Redeemer revolver initiates a mini-game with the Hanger. Rapidly mash the E (Interact) button to resist its influence. Success allows you to shoot the Hanger; failure results in self-harm or being stabbed.
Candlebearers & Candlebrutes
Image by The EscapistCandlebearers are stunned by light (but not for more than 3 seconds, or they'll chase). Candlebrutes are slowed, not stunned, by light and are faster than Candlebearers. Don't shine a light continuously for too long.
The Angler
Image by The EscapistBriefly flickering lights signal The Angler. Hide in a nearby locker or submerge your head in water. It instantly kills anyone in line of sight.
Pinkie, Froger, Chainsmoker, Blitz
These are variations of The Angler, each with unique audio and visual cues. Hiding in a locker remains the most effective survival strategy, timing your action based on the monster's specific cues.
Bottomfeeder
Image by The EscapistThis Dredge-specific monster attacks only in water. Use dry land to evade it. If caught, a mini-game (mashing Q and E) allows you to escape, but it drains health.
The DiVine
Image by The EscapistThese Oxygen Gardens monsters are non-hostile unless you step on grass. They deal 75 damage if they catch you. Avoid grass, especially when other monsters are present.
