Grandma's Diary: The Great Escape Prevention

Oh, what a day it's been! That pesky prisoner thinks he can outsmart me, but he's got another thing coming. I've been around the block a few times, and I know every nook and cranny of this old house. Let me tell you how I'm keeping him on his toes.

Morning Routine: I started the day with my usual cup of tea, but I made sure to keep an eye on the back door. That's the prisoner's favorite escape route. I placed a few of my knitting needles strategically around the door frame. If he tries to sneak out, he'll get a prickly surprise!

Midday Watch: After lunch, I took a stroll around the house, pretending to water my plants. But really, I was checking all the windows. I noticed one of the screens was loose, so I tightened it up real quick. No way he's getting out that way!

Afternoon Patrol: In the afternoon, I sat in my rocking chair by the front door, knitting away. It's the perfect spot to keep an eye on the main entrance. I even left a few of my old, squeaky toys around. If he steps on one, I'll hear it from a mile away!

Evening Lockdown: As the sun started to set, I made sure all the lights were on. A well-lit house is a secure house, I always say. I also double-checked all the locks. That prisoner isn't going anywhere tonight!

Nighttime Vigil: Before bed, I set up my trusty old alarm clock to go off every hour. It's a bit of a nuisance, but it keeps me alert. And just in case, I left a trail of breadcrumbs leading back to his room. If he tries to wander, he'll just end up right back where he started!

That prisoner won't get past this Grandma. I've got my eyes peeled and my wits about me. He's staying put, mark my words!
