Xbox Game Pass January 2025 Lineup: A Snowy Start and Stellar Additions

Get ready for a thrilling January on Xbox Game Pass! Lonely Mountains: Snow Riders, a day-one title for Ultimate subscribers, drops on January 21st, kicking off a wave of exciting new additions. While the first half of January saw some title shifts rather than significant new releases, the second half promises a much more substantial update.

Initially, Lonely Mountains: Snow Riders will be exclusive to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate members. This cooperative and PvP skiing game offers a fresh, adrenaline-pumping experience.

Beyond the slopes, January's second wave brings a trio of highly anticipated day-one releases:

  • Eternal Strands (January 28th): This action-adventure game from Yellow Brick Games, helmed by BioWare veteran Mike Laidlaw, boasts a strong Zelda-esque feel.
  • Sniper Elite: Resistance (January 30th): Prepare for intense sniping action.
  • Citizen Sleeper 2: Starward Vector (January 31st): A sequel promising more of the engaging narrative and gameplay of its predecessor.

These additions, along with other titles like Diablo (PC Game Pass) and EA Sports UFC 5 (Ultimate tier), significantly bolster the Game Pass catalog. All these day-one games will be immediately available to Ultimate subscribers without extra cost.

The full list of January 2025 Game Pass additions includes:

  • Carrion - January 2nd
  • Road 96 - January 7th
  • Diablo - January 14th
  • EA Sports UFC 3 - January 14th
  • Lonely Mountains: Snow Riders - January 21st
  • Eternal Strands - January 28th
  • Sniper Elite: Resistance - January 30th
  • Citizen Sleeper 2 - January 31st

Looking ahead to February, while Avowed is confirmed for February 18th (Xbox Game Pass Ultimate), the rest of the month's lineup remains a mystery. However, with the strong January additions, Game Pass Ultimate subscribers have plenty to look forward to in the meantime.
