Tuxedo Labs has announced exciting new additions to Teardown, their popular sandbox game. A highly anticipated multiplayer mode is on the horizon, launching alongside the new Folkrace DLC.
The Folkrace DLC significantly expands the single-player experience with fresh maps, vehicles, and thrilling racing challenges. Players can compete in diverse events, unlock rewards, and customize their vehicles for optimal performance on the tracks.
The multiplayer update will initially be available on Steam's Experimental Branch, providing early access for players to test and provide crucial feedback. This early access period is particularly important for the modding community, as updated APIs will allow modders to seamlessly integrate their creations into the multiplayer experience.
This multiplayer feature, a long-standing goal for the developers and a frequently requested feature by the community, is finally becoming a reality. The Experimental Branch launch will allow for thorough testing and community feedback before becoming a standard part of the game. Simultaneous API updates will ensure existing mods remain compatible.
Looking towards the future, Tuxedo Labs has confirmed two more major DLCs are in development, with further details to be revealed later in 2025.
