Farewell, SwitchArcade Readers! A Final Round-Up
Hello, loyal readers, and welcome to the final regular SwitchArcade Round-Up. While a special next week will feature a few delayed reviews, this marks the end of my tenure writing these articles for TouchArcade. After several years, it’s time for a new chapter. But let's go out with a bang, featuring reviews from Mikhail and Shaun, new release summaries, and the usual sales updates.
Reviews & Mini-Views
Fitness Boxing feat. HATSUNE MIKU ($49.99)
Following the success of Fitness Boxing Fist of the North Star, Imagineer's collaboration with Hatsune Miku is a surprisingly effective fitness title. This Joy-Con-only game (no Pro Controller support) blends boxing and rhythm game mechanics for engaging workouts, mini-games, and customizable routines. Features include difficulty settings, free training, warm-ups, progress tracking, and unlockable cosmetics. While the music is excellent, the main instructor's voice is a bit jarring. Best used as part of a broader fitness plan rather than as your sole workout.
SwitchArcade Score: 4/5 - Mikhail Madnani
Magical Delicacy ($24.99)
Magical Delicacy blends Metroidvania exploration with cooking and crafting. While the exploration is well-executed, inventory management and UI could use improvement. The charming pixel art, music, and customizable UI settings are highlights. Some frame pacing issues were noted on Switch. The game's strengths are best experienced on a handheld device. A few quality-of-life updates would elevate this already enjoyable title.
SwitchArcade Score: 4/5 - Mikhail Madnani
Aero The Acro-Bat 2 ($5.99)
A polished sequel to the original Aero The Acro-Bat, this release boasts a significantly improved presentation compared to typical Ratalaika emulations. Features include box and manual scans, achievements, a sprite sheet gallery, a jukebox, and cheats. The inclusion of only the Super NES version (with both NA and JP options) is a slight drawback. A solid platformer, particularly for fans of the series.
SwitchArcade Score: 3.5/5 - Shaun Musgrave
Metro Quester | Osaka ($19.99)
More of an expansion than a sequel, Metro Quester | Osaka offers a new dungeon, characters, and mechanics within the established framework of the original game. Set in Osaka, this prequel features canoe travel across waterways. The turn-based combat, top-down exploration, and strategic gameplay remain central. A satisfying experience for fans, and a good entry point for newcomers.

A Personal Farewell
