Stardew Valley's Nintendo Switch update is imminent, addressing critical bugs.
ConcernedApe, the game's creator, has confirmed via social media that a patch resolving the game-breaking divorce crash and raccoon shop glitches is nearing release on the Nintendo Switch. While these issues have been fixed across PC, mobile, and other console versions, the Switch patch requires further development.
The highly anticipated update follows the launch of the expansive 1.6 update, which introduced substantial new content including new farm types (like Meadowlands Farm), NPC interactions, festivals, and visual enhancements. However, subsequent patches inadvertently introduced these problematic bugs.
While a precise release date remains unannounced, ConcernedApe assures players the patch will be available "as soon as possible." This follows a previous December announcement confirming the patch was under development. The developer's transparent communication and swift action have been praised by the Stardew Valley community.
The upcoming patch will bring the Switch version in line with other platforms, ensuring a smoother gameplay experience for all players. The community's patience is appreciated while ConcernedApe finalizes this crucial update.
