Rockstar, the masterminds behind the iconic GTA series, have just rolled out an exciting Anniversary Edition update for Bully on mobile devices. After a six-year wait, fans can finally dive back into the world of Bullworth Academy with fresh enhancements tailored specifically for mobile play.
Rockstar Hasn’t Forgotten about Bullworth Academy!
The Bully: Anniversary Edition update brings a host of improvements, including new language support, enhanced stability, and a series of crucial bug fixes. Notably, Rockstar has temporarily disabled Friends Challenges to streamline the update process.
One of the standout features of this update is the introduction of Screen Space Ambient Occlusion (SSAO) for Android users with compatible devices, elevating the visual experience. Additionally, the app icon has been refreshed, and haptic feedback has been added to both Android and iOS platforms, enhancing immersion.
Several mission-specific bugs have also been addressed. For instance, issues with missions like ‘That Bitch,’ where players couldn't pick Mandy’s locker, and ‘Weed Killer,’ which halted progression if the window was broken prematurely, have been resolved. Moreover, the notorious glitch in ‘The Rumble’ where police cars fell through the floor has been fixed. The update also tackles a peculiar problem where enemies wouldn’t attack Jimmy, ensuring more balanced gameplay. Crashes that occurred when starting a new game or loading a save from the pause menu have been eliminated as well.
What Do Players Have to Say about Bully: Anniversary Edition?
The Bully community has been vocal about their desire for a sequel, Bully 2. Although reports suggested it was in development during the 2010s, Rockstar ultimately prioritized Red Dead Redemption 2 and GTA Online, leading to its cancellation. With GTA 6 on the horizon and many original developers having moved on, the prospects for Bully 2 seem slim. However, this update for the Anniversary Edition offers mobile players a significant upgrade, keeping the spirit of Bullworth alive.
For newcomers, Bully is Rockstar’s unique take on a schoolyard sandbox game. You step into the shoes of Jimmy Hopkins, a 15-year-old troublemaker navigating the challenges of life at Bullworth Academy. The game is infused with Rockstar's signature humor and open-world antics, providing a fun and engaging experience.
