Finnish game developer Supercell has made a surprising announcement. Following the cancellation of their RPG, Clash Heroes, they've revealed a new project: Project R.I.S.E. This isn't simply a revival, but a complete reimagining.
The Details:
Clash Heroes is officially discontinued. However, its core concept is being reborn as Project R.I.S.E., a multiplayer action RPG roguelite set within the familiar Clash universe.
Supercell's announcement video features game lead Julien Le Cadre, who directly addresses the cancellation of Clash Heroes, then highlights Project R.I.S.E. as a multiplayer-focused action RPG.
For more information, watch the announcement video:
Project R.I.S.E. shares DNA with Clash Heroes, but it's a completely new game. It's a social action RPG roguelite where players team up in groups of three to conquer The Tower. Each playthrough features a different floor, and the objective is to ascend as far as possible. Unlike its predecessor's solo PvE focus, Project R.I.S.E. emphasizes cooperative gameplay with diverse characters.
Currently in pre-alpha, the first playtest for Project R.I.S.E. is scheduled for early July 2024. Registration for a chance to participate is open on the official website.
