Nintendo's Latest Collaboration: A LEGO Game Boy!
Nintendo and LEGO have teamed up again, this time producing a LEGO Game Boy set! Launching October 2025, this follows the successful LEGO NES release. While exciting for fans, the announcement on X (formerly Twitter) has sparked considerable speculation about the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2. Some users humorously suggested the LEGO Game Boy was the long-awaited new console reveal.

Although details on the Switch 2 remain scarce, Nintendo President Furukawa confirmed in May 2024 that a successor to the Switch would be announced within their fiscal year (ending March). Further information on the LEGO Game Boy's price will be revealed soon.

A History of Nintendo and LEGO Partnerships
Beyond the NES and Game Boy, Nintendo and LEGO have collaborated on sets featuring iconic characters from popular franchises such as Super Mario, Animal Crossing, and The Legend of Zelda.

Last May, LEGO released a 2,500-piece "Great Deku Tree 2-in-1" set, encompassing elements from Ocarina of Time and Breath of the Wild, complete with Princess Zelda and the Master Sword. This set retails for $299.99 USD.

Following this, a Super Mario World-themed LEGO set featuring Mario riding Yoshi was released. This unique set uses a crank mechanism to animate Yoshi's leg, priced at $129.99 USD.
