Nu Udra's Weaknesses and Strategies:
- Habitat: Oilwell Basin
- Breakable Parts: Head and Arms
- Elemental Weakness: Water
- Effective Status Effects: Poison (2x), Sleep (2x), Paralysis (1x), Blastblight (1x), Stun (2x), Exhaust (2x)
- Effective Items: Pitfall Trap, Shock Trap
Melee Combat Tactics:
Nu Udra's extensive tentacles present a significant challenge for melee fighters. However, these same tentacles offer the closest attack points. Severing its arms yields valuable materials, but proceed cautiously as they are powerful weapons themselves.
Ranged Combat Tactics:
Ranged weapons provide more strategic options. Prioritize attacking Nu Udra's mouth, its 4-star weakness. The head is a secondary target, offering a 3-star weakness to ammo damage, but remains effective for blunt and cut damage.
Utilizing Watermoss:
Nu Udra possesses a fire affinity and employs fiery attacks. It even ignites itself, inflicting the dangerous Fireblight debuff. Counter this by using Watermoss to mitigate fire damage and create safer attack opportunities.
Essential Gear:
Equip fire-resistant gear to survive Nu Udra's attacks. The Quematrice armor set, with its Fire Resistance skill, is highly recommended. Fire Res Jewels and Stream Jewels (for increased Water Attack) are valuable additions to your arsenal.
Avoiding the Grab Attack:
Nu Udra's grab attack is particularly perilous. If caught, it follows with a fiery blast. Use a knife to escape or utilize your Slinger to attack its weak point during the brief pause after the grab.
Capturing Nu Udra:
To capture Nu Udra, prepare a Pitfall or Shock Trap. Deploy it only after significantly weakening the monster (indicated by a skull icon next to its health bar). Lure it into the trap using meat or by strategically positioning yourself behind it. Immediately apply a Tranquilizer; you have approximately five seconds before it breaks free.

Multiplayer Advantage:
Confronting Nu Udra solo is incredibly demanding. Consider utilizing multiplayer for a significantly easier and more rewarding hunt.
