NieR: Automata Resource Farming: Maximizing Dented Plate Acquisition
While resource abundance varies in NieR: Automata, the demand for materials, especially for weapon upgrades, remains high. Dented Plates, a frequently required component, can be farmed efficiently using several strategies.
Optimal Dented Plate Farming Locations
Dented Plates are commonly dropped by:
- Small Biped (all variants)
- Small Flyer (all variants)
- Small Sphere (all variants)
These ubiquitous enemies are prevalent throughout the game. However, relying solely on random encounters isn't the most efficient method.
The most effective farming location is the arena where Adam is first encountered in the main storyline. Fast travel to the Desert: Housing Complex access point, then proceed to the pit. Here, enemies continuously respawn, providing a consistent supply of Small Bipeds, the primary source of Dented Plates. Even lower-level enemies in this area offer a decent drop rate, and it's also a good spot for Titanium Alloy farming.
Alternative Farming Strategies
For those preferring varied locations, the Forest Kingdom offers numerous groups of spear-wielding Bipeds. These groups typically drop at least one Dented Plate. Exploring the Forest Kingdom also yields Beast Hide. Note that higher-level Bipeds have a greater chance of dropping Dented Plates; thus, story progression increases both enemy level and drop rate.
Utilizing Plug-in Chips
Equipping drop-rate enhancing plug-in chips significantly boosts acquisition rates. However, remember that chip loss upon death is permanent.
By employing these strategies and utilizing plug-in chips, players can efficiently amass the substantial quantities of Dented Plates necessary for extensive weapon upgrades.
