Minecraft Live Revamped with Exciting New Features

Minecraft Celebrates 15 Years and Gears Up for an Exciting Future!

Fifteen years after its release, Minecraft continues to thrive! Mojang Studios is committed to keeping the game fresh and engaging with a series of exciting updates and improvements. Get ready for a more frequent release schedule and a whole lot more!

What's Coming Next?

Forget the single annual summer update – Mojang is switching to multiple smaller updates throughout the year, keeping players constantly engaged.

Minecraft Live is also getting a revamp! Instead of one big event, there will now be two yearly showcases. The popular mob vote is being retired, allowing for more frequent updates on development progress and testing phases.

Multiplayer improvements are on the horizon, making it simpler for friends to connect and play together. A native PlayStation 5 version of Minecraft is also in the works.

Beyond the game itself, an animated series and a Minecraft movie are currently under development. It's incredible to see how far the game, initially known as "Cave Game," has come since 2009!

The Power of the Community

Mojang Studios recognizes and values the contributions of the Minecraft community. The Trails & Tales Update's cherry groves, for example, were a direct result of player suggestions!

Community feedback also influenced the addition of new wolf variations with biome-specific skins and improvements to wolf armor. So, if you've ever shared feedback or suggestions, know that you've played a vital role in shaping Minecraft's evolution.
