Lies of P's Precursor: Overture DLC Unveiled

Revealed during Sony's State of Play 2025 showcase, Lies of P: Overture, a prequel DLC expansion, is slated for a Summer 2025 release across PC, PlayStation, and Xbox platforms. A gameplay trailer offers a glimpse into what awaits.

Building upon the critically acclaimed Lies of P (IGN awarded it an 8/10), this single-player action RPG reimagining of Pinocchio's tale in a Bloodborne-esque style, Overture delves into the origins of the Puppet Frenzy. The trailer showcases new environments, formidable bosses, and hints at a mysterious guide.

Lies of P: Overture Details:

Overture serves as a dramatic prequel, transporting players to Krat, a city in its twilight years, showcasing a blend of late 19th-century Belle Époque elegance and impending doom. Players assume the role of Geppetto's puppet, guided by a Legendary Stalker, unraveling untold stories and chilling secrets preceding the main game's events.

Key Features:

  • Explore Krat's Untold History: Journey through previously unseen areas of Krat, ranging from its outskirts to opulent mansions and decaying ruins, encountering new enemies and uncovering hidden lore.

  • Meet the Legendary Stalker: Uncover the truth behind the Puppet Frenzy alongside Lea, the Legendary Stalker, whose quest for vengeance unveils the hidden past of this dark Pinocchio retelling.

  • Master New Combat Styles: Face challenging enemies across treacherous landscapes. Unlock powerful new weapons and Legion Arms, allowing for personalized combat strategies.

  • Confront Epic Bosses: Engage in intense battles against powerful new bosses, testing your skills and determination as you navigate a world on the brink of collapse.

Round8 Studio's game director, Jiwon Choi, stated, "We knew Lies of P's ending was just the start. Overture lets us fully explore our universe's past and present."

Publisher Neowiz previously hinted at this DLC and confirmed plans for a sequel. Lies of P achieved remarkable success, selling over one million copies within a month of its September 18, 2023, launch across various platforms.
