Unlocking the Lady Vengeance: A Divinity: Original Sin 2 Guide

Having escaped Fort Joy and removed your Source collar, you're aboard the Elven ship, Lady Vengeance, in Divinity: Original Sin 2. Your goal? Get this unconventional vessel sailing. This isn't a simple task; controlling the ship requires more than just the helm. This guide outlines the steps to set sail.

Investigating the Ship's Deck:

The key to getting the Lady Vengeance moving lies in a series of puzzles scattered throughout. Begin by searching the bodies of the magisters and ghosts on deck. A Sodden Diary, found on one of the corpses, provides a password crucial later. You can also obtain the password to a stateroom door via a skill check. A Strange Gem, another essential item, is also needed to access this door. A magic mirror nearby allows for respeccing characters, helpful for skill checks.

Accessing the Portside Stateroom:

Using the password from the diary, you can now enter the ship's quarters. Here, interact with Bishop Alexander (unconscious and wearing a Source collar) to obtain a Strange Gem. Use this gem and the password to unlock the Portside Stateroom door.

Locating the Ancient Empire Songbook:

Inside Magister Dallis' cabin, you'll find Tarquin. Speak with Dallis thoroughly before searching. The Ancient Empire Songbook rests on a pedestal; reading it reveals the song needed to move the ship. It's advisable to speak with all NPCs before setting sail, as opportunities for interaction will be lost once the ship departs.

Setting Sail:

With the song learned, speak to Malady on the deck. She'll ask you to sing the song to the ship. Locate the dragon figurine on the western part of the deck and interact with it, choosing the option to sing. The Lady Vengeance will respond, and your journey continues. Be prepared for a challenging battle immediately after setting sail. Ensure your party is adequately prepared.
