Triband ApS' "What the Car?" Scoops Best Mobile Game at Gamescom Latam 2024
Gamescom Latam, the inaugural event held in Sao Paulo, Brazil, successfully showcased Latin America's burgeoning gaming scene and celebrated global industry achievements. A key highlight was the game awards ceremony, a collaboration with the BIG Festival, featuring a captivating awards presentation.
Thirteen categories were contested, with finalists selected by a panel of 49 judges. All nominees were playable at the Sao Paulo Expo, prominently displayed in a large, unmissable booth. Significantly, mobile and PC games were showcased together, reflecting the equal importance of both platforms.
The coveted "Best Mobile Game" award went to "What the Car?". This win highlights the game's quality and is further testament to its merit, having previously been featured in a Pocket Gamer article highlighting lesser-known gems. This accolade may necessitate an update to that article given the game's increased visibility.
