Hyper Light Breaker Character Guide: Unlock All Breakers and SyComs

Hyper Light Breaker offers a diverse roster of characters, each with unique playstyles. This guide details how to unlock these Breakers and their respective SyComs (defining their stats and abilities). Note that this guide reflects the early access version; more characters may be added.

Unlocking New Characters

To unlock new characters, you'll need Abyss Stones, obtained by defeating Crowns (bosses). First, locate Prisms (marked by golden diamond icons on the map) to access boss arenas. After defeating a Crown, return to the Cursed Outpost teleporter and select the Breaker you wish to unlock using your accumulated Abyss Stones. Currently, only two characters are unlockable via this method; future updates may alter this.

All Characters and SyComs

Each Breaker starts with a SyCom, significantly impacting their playstyle. Here's a breakdown:

Vermillion:

Starts with the Gunslinger SyCom, favoring ranged combat with critical hit chaining. Unlockable Tank SyCom enhances defense and melee capabilities, rewarding perfect parries with increased armor.

Lapis:

Begins with the Lightweaver SyCom, boosting Rail shot damage after Battery pickups. The unlockable Warrior SyCom increases core stats with each upgrade, making her exceptionally powerful late-game.

Goro:

Starts with the Astrologer SyCom, accelerating Blade skill charge while shooting. The unlockable Sniper SyCom enhances critical hit rate. Goro is a high-risk, high-reward ranged character.
