Tencent Delays Hidden Ones Pre-Alpha to March

The highly anticipated pre-alpha playtest for The Hidden Ones, the action brawler based on Hitori No Shita: The Outcast, has been rescheduled. Originally slated for next week, Tencent Games and MoreFun Studios have announced a new launch date of February 27th, 2025. This two-month delay allows the developers additional time for refinement and optimization, ensuring a superior player experience. The announcement was made via the game's official website, which also provides further details.

Delving into the World of The Hidden Ones

Rooted in the rich lore of Hitori No Shita, The Hidden Ones delivers a thrilling martial arts experience infused with Eastern philosophies like Taoism and Yin Yang, all set within a contemporary backdrop. The game emphasizes character understanding, philosophical depth, and mastery of unique abilities.

Players will immerse themselves in a cinematic narrative, unraveling the stories of the Outcasts. The gameplay features progressively challenging boss battles across multiple levels, each encounter directly linked to a chapter in the overarching martial arts saga, with bosses evolving alongside the player's skill.

Multiple game modes cater to diverse preferences. "Duel" mode pits players against each other in intense combat, while an "action roulette" mechanic allows for dynamic skill acquisition mid-battle. A challenging "trial" mode presents a gauntlet of increasingly difficult boss fights, demanding mastery of various characters and fighting styles for survival.
