The Capcom Pro Tour has concluded, revealing the 48 competitors set to clash in Capcom Cup XI. While the world's best players are undoubtedly exciting, let's shift our focus to the characters they've chosen to wield.
Following the World Warrior circuit, EventHubs compiled statistics on the most popular Street Fighter 6 characters at the highest competitive level. This data provides a valuable insight into the game's current balance. Remarkably, all 24 fighters saw representation, though only one player opted for Ryu among nearly two hundred competitors (across eight regional finalists). Even the recently added Terry Bogard only attracted two players.
Dominating the professional scene are Cammy, Ken, and M. Bison, each selected as a main character by 17 players. A significant gap separates this top tier from the next, which includes Akuma (12 players), Ed and Luke (11 each), and JP and Chun-Li (10 each). Among the less frequently chosen characters, Zangief, Guile, and Juri stand out, each serving as the main character for seven players.
Capcom Cup XI is set for March in Tokyo, with a million-dollar prize awaiting the champion.
