Shift Up, the developer behind Stellar Blade, has hinted at a potential PC port. While the game launched as a PS5 exclusive due to its partnership with Sony, recent comments suggest a PC release is under consideration.
Stellar Blade's successful launch, achieving top-selling status in the US and garnering an 82 average OpenCritic score, has fueled interest in expanding the game's reach. During an IPO press conference, CEO Kim Hyung-Tae stated that a PC port is being "considered," though a firm timeline remains unavailable due to contractual obligations with Sony. CFO Jae-woo Ahn noted the growing PC market dominance for AAA titles and expressed optimism about a potential PC release, anticipating increased IP value.
A previous financial report from Shift Up already indicated exploration of both a sequel and a PC port for Stellar Blade. Given Sony's increasing trend of bringing PlayStation exclusives to PC (as evidenced by the upcoming PC release of God of War: Ragnarok), a PC port of Stellar Blade seems increasingly likely.
While the decision on a PC port remains pending, Shift Up continues to refine the PS5 version. Recent updates, however, introduced some graphical issues, which the developer has acknowledged and is actively addressing.
