Stardew Valley: Befriend the Dwarf Guide

Jan 27,2025 Author: Michael

This guide delves into the enigmatic Dwarf, a unique character in Stardew Valley. Unlike other villagers, befriending the Dwarf requires deciphering a new language and presents a different reward structure.

Updated January 8, 2024: This guide reflects recent Stardew Valley updates (1.5 and 1.6), impacting NPC friendship mechanics, including the Movie Theater's introduction and gift preference adjustments.

Locating the Dwarf

Dwarf's Shop Entrance The Dwarf resides in the mines, accessible by breaking a boulder (using a copper pickaxe or bomb) to the right of the first floor entrance.

Unlocking Dwarvish Communication

Dwarf Scroll To understand the Dwarf, you must donate all four Dwarf Scrolls to the Museum. Gunther will then provide a Dwarvish translation guide.
