日本宣布举办街头霸王锦标赛“睡眠格斗家”
睡眠不足将导致选手在名为“睡眠格斗家”的新街头霸王锦标赛中受到处罚。本周早些时候宣布的这项官方卡普空支持的赛事由制药公司SS制药公司组织，以推广其助眠药物Drewell。
“睡眠格斗家”锦标赛是一个团队赛事，每个团队由三名选手组成，他们将进行“三局两胜”的比赛，以积累最多的积分并获得胜利。积分最高的队伍将晋级下一轮。除了通过胜利获得积分外，队伍还将根据其记录的睡眠时间获得“睡眠积分”。
在“睡眠格斗家”锦标赛前的一周，每位队员每晚必须至少睡六个小时。如果一个团队的总睡眠时间未达到126小时，他们将因每少睡一小时而损失五分。作为额外的奖励，总睡眠时间最长的团队将决定比赛的比赛条件。
SS制药公司正在推广这项活动，以证明睡眠的重要性，因为该公司表示，充足的睡眠对于最佳发挥至关重要。他们的宣传活动“让我们迎接挑战，让我们先睡个好觉”旨在提高人们对睡眠的认识，并鼓励日本养成健康的睡眠习惯。根据官方网站，睡眠格斗家是第一个将睡眠不足作为处罚规则纳入其中的电子竞技锦标赛。
