What Recursive Destruction Is in Marvel Rivals & How To Trigger It in Empire of Eternal Night: Midtown

Marvel Rivals Season 1 unleashes new characters, maps, and modes, including a challenge rewarding players with a Thor skin. This guide focuses on triggering Recursive Destruction in Empire of Eternal Night: Midtown.

What is Recursive Destruction?

The "Blood Moon Over the Big Apple" challenge requires triggering Recursive Destruction. This involves destroying Dracula-influenced objects that then reappear in their original state. Not all objects qualify; Chrono Vision (activated via the "B" key on PC or the right D-pad button on consoles) highlights eligible red-colored objects.

This challenge is exclusive to the Quick Match (Midtown) mode. Initially, no red-highlighted objects are available. Wait for the first checkpoint; two buildings will then appear, capable of triggering Recursive Destruction. Destroy these buildings multiple times (three times is required to complete the challenge). The frantic pace of the match might obscure the objects' reappearance, but repeated strikes will complete the objective. If unsuccessful, simply replay the match. After completing this, focus on subsequent challenges involving Mister Fantastic and Invisible Woman.

Marvel Rivals is currently available on PS5, PC, and Xbox Series X|S.
