Final Fantasy XIV's Free Login Campaign Returns!

Square Enix has reinstated its popular Free Login Campaign for Final Fantasy XIV, allowing eligible players with inactive accounts to enjoy four consecutive days of free gameplay. This campaign runs from January 9th, 2025, to February 6th, 2025, and is available across PC, PlayStation, and Xbox platforms.

The campaign's timing coincides with the recent release of Patch 7.15, featuring new side quests within the Dawntrail expansion, including the return of the Hildibrand storyline and a fresh Custom Delivery client. Producer and director Naoki Yoshida's New Year's message further fueled anticipation, confirming the arrival of Patches 7.2 and 7.3 in 2025, alongside smaller content updates and a cryptic hint about Dawntrail's narrative direction.

This free access period provides a perfect opportunity for lapsed players to rejoin the Eorzea adventure. The 96-hour play timer begins upon logging into the game launcher. Eligibility requires a previously purchased and registered Final Fantasy XIV account that has been inactive for at least 30 days prior to the campaign's start. Accounts suspended or canceled due to Terms of Service violations are excluded. Players can verify their eligibility through the Mog Station.

While the Free Login Campaign is active, players can also participate in the Heavensturn event (until January 16th), earning a unique minion reward, and anticipate Patch 7.16 (releasing January 21st), concluding the Dawntrail Role Quest series. This provides returning players with ample content to catch up on before the release of Patch 7.2. The future of Dawntrail in 2025 remains shrouded in mystery, promising further exciting developments.
