NieR: Automata Fishing Guide: A Relaxing Way to Earn Big
NieR: Automata offers more than just intense battles. Fishing provides a peaceful alternative, allowing you to acquire rare items and quick cash without the usual combat grind. This guide details how to fish and what rewards await.
How to Fish in NieR: Automata
Fishing is surprisingly simple. Find any body of water – even shallow puddles – and stand still. A fishing prompt will appear above your character. Hold the designated button to cast your Pod:
- PlayStation: O button
- Xbox: B button
- PC: Enter key
Your Pod will wait for a bite. Don't reel in until the Pod is fully submerged with an audible "plop." Quickly press the reel-in button; otherwise, the fish escapes. You can cast repeatedly with no limitations. A helpful plug-in chip displays a fishing icon when you're near fishable water.
Rewards for Fishing in NieR: Automata
Most fish and junk items are valuable, providing a safe and efficient way to earn money, especially useful for early-game plug-in chip upgrades. Fishing in sewers might even yield the powerful Iron Pipe weapon, though this is chance-based.
