During the ID@Xbox Showcase event, fans were treated to an exciting premiere of a new trailer for Moonlighter 2: The Endless Vault. This eagerly awaited sequel, developed by Digital Sun in collaboration with publisher 11 bit studios, is set to launch on Xbox Game Pass on its release day, anticipated before the end of the year. The game promises to blend isometric action-adventure with roguelike elements, challenging players to transform their humble shop into a thriving business by exploring dungeons to gather rare artifacts and confronting formidable foes.
Digital Sun has revealed that Moonlighter 2 builds upon the original game's core, expanding its narrative scope and refining gameplay mechanics. The story centers on the protagonist, Will, as he navigates the vast world of Trense in search of his lost home dimension. Along his journey, Will reconnects with familiar faces and forges new alliances. A mysterious trader introduces Will to a quest for powerful relics, believed to be the key to his return home.
The game's enchanting soundtrack is composed by the renowned Chris Larkin, celebrated for his work on Hollow Knight. Gamers can look forward to experiencing Moonlighter 2: The Endless Vault later this year on PC via Steam, Xbox Series, and PS5.
