Get ready for another chance to hunt! Monster Hunter Wilds is hosting a second Open Beta, offering both newcomers and returning players a taste of the action before the full game launches. This extended beta includes exciting new content not featured in the first test.
New Monster, New Opportunities:
Missed the first beta? Fear not! The second Open Beta Test will run in two sessions: February 6th-9th and February 13th-16th, available on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. This time around, you'll get to hunt the Gypceros, a familiar foe from previous Monster Hunter titles.
Carryover and Rewards:
Your character data from the first beta carries over to this one, and subsequently to the full game! However, game progress won't be saved. As a thank you for participating, beta testers will receive in-game rewards: a Stuffed Felyne Teddy weapon charm and a special bonus item pack to aid your early game adventures.
Producer Ryozo Tsujimoto explained the decision for a second beta, citing player requests for another opportunity to experience the game. While recent community updates detailed improvements currently in development, these enhancements won't be included in this beta test.
Monster Hunter Wilds launches February 28th, 2025, on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. Get ready to hunt!
