Marvel Rivals Competitive Rank Reset: A Comprehensive Guide
This guide explains the competitive rank reset system in Marvel Rivals, a free-to-play Marvel-themed PvP hero shooter.
Competitive Rank Reset Mechanics
At the end of each season, your competitive rank is demoted by seven tiers. For example, ending a season at Diamond I will place you at Gold II in the next season. If you finish in Bronze III, you'll remain at Bronze III as that's the lowest rank.
Rank Reset Timing
The rank reset occurs at the conclusion of each season. Season 1, for example, commenced on January 10th, indicating the reset's timing.
Marvel Rivals Rank Tiers

Competitive mode unlocks at player level 10. Players earn points in matches to progress through tiers. Each 100 points advances you to the next tier. The tiers are:
- Bronze (III-I)
- Silver (III-I)
- Gold (III-I)
- Platinum (III-I)
- Diamond (III-I)
- Grandmaster (III-I)
- Eternity
- One Above All (Top 500 Leaderboard)
Even after reaching Grandmaster I, you can continue playing to achieve Eternity and One Above All. One Above All requires a top 500 leaderboard position.
Season Length
While Season 0 was shorter, subsequent seasons are expected to last approximately three months. New seasons introduce new heroes (like the Fantastic Four) and maps, providing ample time for rank progression.
