The global servers for KonoSuba: Fantastic Days have officially shut down, marking the end of a 3.5-year run. This follows the Japanese version's five-year lifespan. While a relatively short time for a gacha game, it's considered respectable, especially given declining revenue in recent times.
Game's Lifespan and Final Events:
Developed by Sumzap and published initially by Nexon before transitioning to Sesisoft, KonoSuba: Fantastic Days Global maintained active development until its closure. The developers kept the game updated right until the end, including voiced story updates and a final song release just three weeks prior to shutdown. A farewell livestream in December featured Kazuma's voice actor.
Post-Shutdown Access:
The Japanese version offers an offline version preserving the story, voice lines, and character collection, and has archived the main story on YouTube. Unfortunately, the global version lacks these features. However, fans can still access the Japanese YouTube archive for continued enjoyment.
