In Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, Hans's main quest, "For Whom the Bell Tolls," requires crafting a Fever Tonic to save someone at Trosky Castle. Here's how:
Locating the Fever Tonic Recipe:

The recipe is within Trosky Castle's Surgeon's Workshop. Access is gained through stealth or persuasion. To persuade the Chamberlain, complete "For Whom the Bell Tolls" objectives up to delivering the horseshoe. Then, speak with Cook Fanka at the forge; offering help with her locked chest gains kitchen access. Convince the ailing Chamberlain you can help him, passing skill checks to access the workshop. Alternatively, if skill checks fail, steal food, proceed to the courtyard's other stairs, bribe the guard with the stolen food, and sneak into the kitchen to the workshop. The Surgeon's journal, containing the recipe, is on the bookshelf.

The necessary herbs are already at the surgeon's station. Follow these steps:
- Pour wine into the cauldron.
- Add 3 handfuls of Feverfew.
- Lower the heat and boil for 2 sandglass turns.
- Grind a handful of Elderberry Leaves.
- Add the ground Elderberry Leaves.
- Add 2 handfuls of Ginger.
- Obtain a phial from the bottom-left shelf.
- Distill the tonic using the Still.
More herbs are available in the chest if needed.
Completing the Quest:
After brewing the Fever Tonic, deliver it to Thomas. If you gained the Chamberlain's trust (by making a digestive potion), return with both potions. Otherwise, use the kitchen to reach the chapel and find Thomas and Adele. Speak with Adele to conclude the quest.
