Maintaining footwear is crucial in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2. This guide details how to acquire and repair shoes, ensuring you're never caught shoeless.
Acquiring Shoes:
While you begin with a pair, replacement options abound. Loot chests and fallen enemies (poachers, etc.) often yield footwear. Alternatively, purchase shoes from vendors. Tailors offer shoes, but cobblers provide superior options. Locate cobblers on your map; their symbol resembles three red circles. The cobbler in Trosky is an early example. Note that some cobblers, like Matthew, also sell horse equipment and crafting kits.

Repairing Shoes:
Two repair methods exist: NPC repair and self-repair.
-
NPC Repair: Cobblers and blacksmiths offer repair services. The cost depends on your Craftsmanship skill level; higher levels unlock percentage discounts.
-
Self-Repair: Requires a Cobbler's Kit, obtainable from various vendors (including cobblers and blacksmiths), chests, and looted NPCs. Open your inventory, select the kit, and use the interact button ("E" on PC). Repair options will appear; faded items indicate insufficient Craftsmanship skill.

Remember, Blacksmith's Kits function similarly for repairing non-footwear equipment. While vendor repairs are convenient, self-repair becomes viable with sufficient skill. Maintaining well-maintained gear is advantageous throughout your adventure.
