Long awaited by players across PC and consoles, crossplay is finally coming to Baldur's Gate 3 with Patch 8! While a release date hasn't been announced, a stress test in January 2025 will give select players early access to this and other Patch 8 features.
When's Cross-Play Arriving?
Patch 8, including crossplay, will launch sometime after the January 2025 stress test. This test helps Larian Studios identify and fix bugs before the wider release.
How to Join the Patch 8 Stress Test:

Want early access? Register for the Patch 8 Stress Test via Larian's registration form. You'll need a Larian account. The form is quick and easy, requiring basic information like your gaming platform (PC, PlayStation, or Xbox).
Keep in mind: Registration doesn't guarantee selection. Chosen players receive an email with further instructions. Participants can then provide feedback via forms and Discord.
The stress test will also assess the impact on mods, so mod users should consider signing up. Crucially, all players in your intended crossplay group must register; otherwise, you'll have to wait for the full release.
Baldur's Gate 3's enduring popularity makes the addition of crossplay a highly anticipated event, promising to connect even more players in the world of Faerûn.
