Hangry Morpeko Poised to Haunt Pokémon GO This Halloween

Pokémon GO's Halloween Event Part 1: Spooky Encounters and Morpeko's Debut!

Get ready for some spooky fun in Pokémon GO! Niantic has revealed the details for Part 1 of the Halloween event, promising exciting features and chilling encounters. Part 2 is on the way, too!

The event runs from Tuesday, October 22nd, at 10:00 a.m. local time, until Monday, October 28th, 2024, at 10:00 a.m.

What's Haunting Pokémon GO?

Morpeko, the Electric/Dark-type Pokémon, makes its highly anticipated debut! Its unique ability to switch between Full Belly and Hangry Modes mid-battle, altering its Aura Wheel attack (100 power, Attack boost in both modes), adds a thrilling new dimension to GO Battle League and Team GO Rocket battles.

During the event, you'll have increased chances to encounter Morpeko in GO Battle League's premium track. Post-event, it will remain available from Rank 16 upwards, though more frequent appearances will continue on the premium track.

A Spooky Atmosphere and Special Research

Enjoy a special Halloween atmosphere with festive decorations and a remix of the classic Lavender Town theme playing nightly.

Dynamax Gastly joins the fray in one-star Max Battles, alongside Grookey, Scorbunny, and Sobble.

A free Timed Research event, focusing on Spiritomb and its 108 spirits, runs from October 22nd to November 3rd, rewarding players with encounters featuring Halloween-themed Pokémon, including Spiritomb and Morpeko.

Download Pokémon GO from the Google Play Store and prepare for a frightfully fun Halloween! Don't forget to check out our other news on Bandai Namco's Naruto X Boruto Ninja Voltage EOS.
