After the Season 01 update for *Black Ops 6* and *Warzone*, many players discovered a new feature: an abundance of XP tokens suddenly available in *Black Ops 6*. This led to a productive XP grind on the launch day, boosting XP, Weapon XP, and Battle Pass progression. However, a subsequent update on November 15th, as noted on the *Call of Duty* Blog, "fixed an issue that incorrectly allowed legacy XP tokens to be activated in the Black Ops 6 UI."
So, what exactly are these Legacy XP Tokens, and how did players end up with them? Legacy XP Tokens are any unused XP tokens that you've earned from previous titles, accessible through the *COD HQ* app. These could come from games like *Modern Warfare II*, *Modern Warfare III*, or *Warzone*. Players could unlock these tokens through various methods such as DMZ Missions, Battle Pass Tiers, and promotions with brands like Little Caesar’s and Monster Energy. If you've earned XP tokens in these games, they are still available for use in *Warzone*. Here's how you can leverage them in *Black Ops 6*.

Initially, during the Season 01 launch, players could directly activate their Legacy XP Tokens from *Warzone* within *Black Ops 6*. However, this feature was disabled after the update. Fortunately, a workaround was discovered that allowed players to still benefit from these tokens to boost their XP, Weapon XP, and Battle Pass progression in *Black Ops 6*.
The process is relatively simple. If you have Legacy XP Tokens available in *Warzone*, you activate them there. Then, switch over to *Black Ops 6*, and you'll see the token and its countdown timer in your UI. The only caveat is the need to navigate between menus, and remember, XP Tokens count down in real time. Despite this, using this workaround can significantly speed up your leveling process in *Black Ops 6*.
