Path of Exile 2's Hidden Golden Idols: A Guide to Finding and Selling Them
Path of Exile 2 features numerous quests, some less obvious than others. Act 3 introduces a unique collectible: Golden Idols. These are classified as Quest Items, but their function differs from typical quest items. Unlike most, finding them doesn't add a quest to your log. Instead of advancing a storyline, these idols are valuable trade goods. There are five in total, each fetching a substantial sum of gold.
Locating the Golden Idols
After exploring the Vaal ruins beneath the Ziggurat Encampment in Act 3, you'll travel through a portal to Utzaal (The Drowned City in the present), showcasing the Vaal civilization at its zenith. Don't get sidetracked by the scenery; focus on finding the idols.
Three idols are located within Utzaal itself, with the remaining two found in the connected area, Aggorat. They aren't dropped by enemies; instead, they're found on the ground or pedestals, often in side rooms.
- Utzaal:
- Glorious Idol
- Golden Idol
- Grand Idol
- Aggorat:
- Exceptional Idol
- Elegant Idol
Selling Your Treasures
Once you've collected an idol, return to the Ziggurat Encampment and sell it to Oswald, located in the north of the area. He's the only vendor who will accept them.
Here's the gold value of each idol:
- Golden Idol: 500 Gold
- Grand Idol: 1000 Gold
- Glorious Idol: 1500 Gold
- Elegant Idol: 1000 Gold
- Exceptional Idol: 1500 Gold
Collecting all five will net you 6000 gold. Since they occupy inventory space and have no other use, sell them immediately to free up room.
