Xbox Game Pass introduces Quests and enhanced Rewards for PC users aged 18 and over, starting January 7th. This update expands reward opportunities beyond Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, making them accessible to PC Game Pass subscribers as well.
Key changes include daily, weekly, and monthly quest types designed to encourage exploration of the Game Pass catalog. These quests require a minimum of 15 minutes of playtime per game and offer points redeemable for rewards. Specifically:
- Daily Play: Earn 10 points daily for playing any Game Pass title for at least 15 minutes.
- Weekly Streaks: Playing for at least five days a week earns points, with multipliers increasing for consecutive weeks (2x for two weeks, 3x for three, and 4x for four or more).
- Monthly 4-Pack & 8-Pack: Earn points by playing four or eight different games (15 minutes each) per month. The 4-Pack games count towards the 8-Pack.
- PC Weekly Bonus: An additional 150 points for playing at least 15 minutes for five or more days a week.
Access to the Rewards Hub and associated point accumulation is restricted to users 18 and older. Those under 18 will only be able to earn rewards through parental purchases from the Microsoft Store. This age restriction is part of Microsoft's commitment to creating age-appropriate gaming experiences.
