While industry journalist Tom Henderson speculates, based on EA's historical release patterns, that an October or November 2025 launch is more likely, EA remains tight-lipped on specific dates.
Development is underway across four of EA's internal studios, with significant playtesting planned. A closed beta program is already underway, allowing participants to experience key game elements and provide valuable feedback to shape the final product.
This announcement also clarifies the future of the Need for Speed franchise. Vince Zampella previously indicated that a new NFS title is not imminent, as the development of this Battlefield installment takes precedence.
