Disney Mirrorverse, the mobile action RPG featuring a unique blend of Disney and Pixar characters, is shutting down. Developer Kabam announced the game's end-of-service (EOS) date as December 16th, 2024.
The game has already been removed from the Google Play Store, and all in-app purchases are disabled. Players have approximately three months remaining to enjoy the game before the servers are permanently closed.
A Look Back at Disney Mirrorverse
Launched in June 2022, Disney Mirrorverse offered a compelling action RPG experience with reimagined Disney and Pixar heroes. Kabam recommends players focus on completing the final storyline before the game's closure.
Despite initial enthusiasm, the game's long beta period and infrequent content updates contributed to player attrition. The demanding shard collection system, requiring significant investment for character maximization, also presented a challenge. However, the game's artistic merit, particularly its character designs and graphics, remains undeniable.
The Unexpected EOS Announcement
The sudden EOS announcement, following a recent update introducing new story content and Cinderella as a playable character, surprised many players. This isn't Kabam's first game closure; they previously shut down Transformers: Forged to Fight and a Marvel Contest of Champions spin-off.
