Dead Cells Mobile's final free content updates delayed, but with a confirmed release date!
The much-anticipated final two free updates for Dead Cells on mobile, "Clean Cut" and "The End is Near," have been pushed back. However, developer Playdigious has announced a firm release date: February 18th, 2025.
Both updates, already available on console and PC, will introduce exciting new features to the mobile version. "Clean Cut" boasts two new weapons: the survival-oriented Sewing Scissors and the brutality-focused Giant Comb. Players will also meet a new NPC, the Tailor's Daughter, allowing for customization of character appearance.
"The End is Near" lives up to its name by adding formidable new enemies: the Sore Loser, Curser, and Doom Bringer. This update also includes fresh skills and colorless mutations, such as Demonic Strength, which significantly boosts damage under a curse.

A fitting finale to free updates
Playdigious deserves commendation for consistently delivering substantial free content to Dead Cells players. While the announcement of the end of free updates initially drew criticism, the quality and quantity of added content justify the studio's decision to move on to new projects.
The final two updates, "Clean Cut" and "The End is Near," will launch simultaneously on Android and iOS on February 18th, 2025.
New players diving into Dead Cells should consult a weapon tier list to prepare for the challenging combat.
