Big Bad Wolf, the studio behind critically acclaimed games like Vampire: The Masquerade Swansong and The Council, has unveiled its next project: Cthulhu: The Cosmic Abyss. The announcement was accompanied by a stunning CG trailer, introducing players to Noah, the protagonist battling encroaching madness, the submerged city of R'lyeh, and the terrifying Great Old One, Cthulhu himself.
The game, set in 2053, plunges players into a world where deep-sea corporate mining awakens an ancient cosmic horror. Aided by your AI companion, Key, you'll unravel the secrets of the sunken city of R'lyeh, solve challenging puzzles, and fight to preserve your sanity against Cthulhu's insidious influence.
Built using Unreal Engine 5, Cthulhu: The Cosmic Abyss promises surreal, mind-bending environments that will immerse you in its chilling atmosphere. The recently released trailer hints at a tense and gripping experience. Cthulhu: The Cosmic Abyss is scheduled for release in 2026 on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
