The mobile strategy tower defense game, Code Geass: Lost Stories, is ending its global run. While the Japanese version will continue, the international servers are closing on August 29th, 2024. This means no new downloads, purchases, or logins will be possible after that date. The game's global social media presence will also cease on the same day.
Developed by f4samurai and DMM Games, and published by Komoe, based on the popular Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion franchise, the game launched globally in September 2023. Its short lifespan is attributed to low download numbers and less-than-stellar global reviews. Many licensed anime games struggle to maintain a player base outside Japan due to lower spending habits in other regions.
The game, a blend of RPG, action, and tower defense elements, may still be available in Japan via the Google Play Store. Players are encouraged to enjoy the remaining time before the shutdown.
