Clash of Clans, a cornerstone of mobile gaming history, is set to undergo a significant transformation by completely eliminating troop training times. This monumental shift will allow players to deploy their armies almost instantly, diving into battles faster than ever before. However, with this change comes a critical reminder: it's time to use your existing Training Potions or Treats or risk losing them as the update rolls out.
While Clash of Clans may show its age in certain aspects, Supercell has been diligently modernizing the game over the years. The latest update marks a pivotal moment, as not only troop training times but also Spell and Siege unit training times are being removed. Following the removal of training costs in 2022, this new change is set to revolutionize the gameplay experience.
As of today, Training Potions and Training Treats will no longer be available through in-app purchases or chest rewards. They will still be obtainable from the Trader and Gold Pass temporarily, but players are urged to use them before the end of the month, when they will be converted to Gems.
To help players adapt to this new mechanic, Supercell is introducing "Match Anytime," a feature that allows you to attack a snapshot of another player's base if no live opponents are available. You'll earn rewards from these matches, but the player whose base is used won't lose anything if their base is defeated. This mechanic, already used in Clan Wars and Legend League attacks, will now become a standard feature.
Alongside this major update, other changes are on the horizon, such as Army Donations now requiring Elixirs or Dark Elixirs. For more detailed information and additional updates, be sure to visit the Supercell blog.
