Monster Hunter Wilds is set to receive its first Title Update tomorrow, introducing quests that encourage players to compete for the fastest clear times. In response to this new feature, Capcom has issued a stern warning to players about cheating and the use of external tools to manipulate rankings.
In a recent post on the Monster Hunter X/Twitter account, Capcom stated, "To ensure a fun and fair experience for our players, we will take action against accounts participating in fraudulent ranking activity, such as the use of cheating or external tools. Accounts deemed to be in breach of this may be suspended, or have restrictions placed on them, such as being unable to receive rewards from these quests." This message underscores Capcom's commitment to maintaining a level playing field.
Moreover, Capcom highlighted that players engaging in multiplayer hunts with cheaters could face consequences, including invalid quest completion times and the revocation of rewards for the entire party. The company advised players to be cautious and avoid playing multiplayer with individuals suspected of engaging in prohibited activities. Capcom encouraged players to report any instances of cheating they encounter during quests.
The new quests will offer cosmetic pendants as rewards, some of which will be available to all participants, while others will be awarded based on Completion Time or the hunter's ranking. This incentive structure explains Capcom's rigorous stance on cheating, as it directly impacts the fairness of reward distribution and competition.
These Time-Based Competition Quests will be accessible through the new Arena Quest Counter located in the Grand Hub in Suja, which players can unlock by completing a special tutorial mission. Make sure to head to the Grand Hub as soon as Title Update 1 goes live tomorrow in Monster Hunter Wilds. For more details, check out the Monster Hunter Wilds Title Update 1 patch notes.
