In Ivy Road and Annapurna Interactive's Wanderstop, players step into the shoes of Alta, a weary warrior seeking solace in managing a quaint tea shop nestled within a magical forest. As Alta embarks on her journey of rest and recovery, she encounters a diverse array of customers, some of whom crave coffee—a beverage not typically found in the tea-centric menu. Here’s a detailed guide on how to unlock and brew coffee in Wanderstop.
Which Customers Want Coffee in Wanderstop?
(Ivy Road/Annapurna Interactive)
In the fourth cycle of Wanderstop, a stunning humanoid bird graces the tea shop, requesting a refined cup of tea. Following her visit, a trio of businessmen named Jerry, Larry, and Terry arrive, each dressed in suits and ties and clutching briefcases. They're en route to a boardroom for a crucial presentation. Despite Alta's efforts to guide them back on track, they decline her offer of tea, insisting on coffee instead. Choosing to wait at the shop until their desired beverage becomes available, these businessmen pose a unique challenge for Alta.
Initially, it seems impossible to cater to their needs, as Boro, the tea shop's owner, explains that coffee has never grown in the forest. However, the arrival of an interdimensional figure named Zenith changes the game. Intrigued by the businessmen, Zenith agrees to try Alta's tea, marking their first experience with anything other than coffee.

How to Unlock Coffee Beans in Wanderstop
(Ivy Road/Annapurna Interactive)
To unlock coffee beans, serve Zenith a cup of tea infused with a valuable item. This item could range from a book to a trinket, a pot, a mug, a small plant (including the pot), or even a photograph. After tasting this unique brew, Zenith inquires about the differences between tea and coffee, prompting Alta to mention coffee beans. This revelation inspires Zenith to use the Infinite Path to introduce coffee beans to the forest, enabling them to grow in the clearing for the first time. Zenith also provides instructions on how to harvest and brew the beans, which are added to Alta's Field Guide.
How to Harvest and Brew Coffee in Wanderstop
Once Zenith summons them, coffee beans begin to grow wild in the clearing and respawn randomly. Harvest them similarly to fruits and seeds or pick them up like objects. You can store them in your ingredients pocket or carry one at a time in your hand. They can also be placed on shelves, tables, floors, or the ground outside.
Before brewing, coffee beans need cleaning. Place them in the dishwasher, and they will be returned clean via the dish trains in the tea room.
To brew coffee, fill the tea maker with water and heat it according to the customer's preference. Then, add one coffee bean to the infuser. If a customer requests additional beans or other ingredients, add them accordingly. Kick the gear to pour the brew into the kettle below, and finally, decant it into mugs to serve to the businessmen, Zenith, other customers, Boro, or even Alta herself.
Offering coffee not only satisfies the businessmen but also delights Zenith and provides an additional beverage option for other customers. Even Boro is willing to give it a try, though he admits it's not to his taste.
That's how you unlock, harvest, and brew coffee in Wanderstop.
