MiHoYo, the Chinese developer behind HoYoVerse, has been busy lately, and their upcoming game, previously known as Astaweave Haven, is getting a fresh makeover – a new name! Even before a proper reveal, the game is undergoing significant changes.
If you're a fan of gacha games or RPGs, you might have already heard whispers of Astaweave Haven. While official details from MiHoYo remain scarce, it appears this new title could mark a significant departure from their usual open-world gacha adventures.
Instead of another gacha RPG, Astaweave Haven is shaping up to be a life simulation or management game, reminiscent of titles like Animal Crossing or Stardew Valley. This leads us to the big news: MiHoYo's rebranding! The game will now be known as Petit Planet.
The name change is a welcome one. Petit Planet sounds charming and subtly hints at the game's management sim nature, differentiating it from MiHoYo's typical gacha RPG offerings.
Release Date?
The game is still under development, with no official release date announced. Astaweave Haven received approval in China for PC and mobile in July. On October 31st, HoYoVerse registered the Petit Planet trademark, and it's currently awaiting approval in the U.S. and U.K.
Given MiHoYo/HoYoVerse's track record of rapid releases (remember Zenless Zone Zero following Honkai: Star Rail?), we can expect a swift launch once the name is approved. Hopefully, we'll soon see gameplay footage of Petit Planet.
