Castle Doombad is back! The popular tower defense strategy game, originally released in 2014, returns as Castle Doombad: Free To Slay on Android. Developed by Grumpyface Studios and published by Yodo1, this mobile release offers a fresh take on the classic.
Grumpyface, known for hits like Steven Universe: Attack the Light and Teeny Titans, initially planned a single Castle Doombad remake. However, they've cleverly split the project into two: Free To Slay for mobile, and Castle Doombad Classic, a remastered version with updated content, launching later this year on Nintendo Switch and Steam. A sequel, Castle Doombad 2: Muahaha!, is also in development.
Embrace your inner evil in Castle Doombad: Free To Slay! Build a wicked lair, defend it against heroic do-gooders, and utilize traps and minions as your primary weapons. This is tower defense, villain style!

Free To Slay is a free-to-play game with ads and optional in-app purchases. It features 70 stages, daily challenges, endless modes, over 30 traps to unlock and upgrade, and over 100 collectible items. A customizable cosmetic system, "spoils," lets you adorn your Dark Lord and his lair with evil artifacts. These can be paired with "Baddie Bonus" perks for strategic advantages.
A new roguelite mode, "Dr. Lord Evilstein's Roguevenge," adds replayability with randomly generated castle layouts and collectible Nightmares granting unique powers. Download the game now from the Google Play Store!
