Edwards' Twitter post showcased never-before-seen images, including the title card ("The Invincible Iron Man"), the Genepool Software logo, and gameplay screenshots. He followed up with Xbox gameplay footage, displaying the startup screen and a tutorial segment set in a desert environment. This project followed Genepool Software's release of X-Men 2: Wolverine’s Revenge.

Despite positive fan reaction to Edwards' reveals, Activision canceled "The Invincible Iron Man" shortly after development began. Genepool Software subsequently closed, leaving the team unemployed. The exact reason remains undisclosed, but Edwards suggested possibilities: delays in the film's release, dissatisfaction with the game's quality, or another developer potentially securing the project.
