Application Description

This simple, non-field RPG challenges you to escape a cursed forest. - Prologue - You're the village's best hunter, drawn to a national hunting tournament near the royal capital. Arriving for the opening ceremony, you eagerly enter the forest the following day. Waking after your first night, you discover something unsettling: your camp is deserted, the other hunters vanished. National guards oversee the tournament, yet the forest is eerily empty. Cautiously exploring, you realize you're hopelessly lost, repeatedly finding yourself back in the same location. Your exceptional sense of direction, usually impeccable, fails you. This is undeniably strange.

  • What is the "Elven Curse"? - Aided by a quarter-elf, you, the hunter, must escape the cursed forest. Gameplay is remarkably straightforward, using at most three buttons outside the main menu.

  • Character Creation - While customization is limited, you can freely reroll your stats. Status increases upon leveling are only visible on this screen and cannot be checked in-game. It's a return-to-menu action. With less than two "talismans," your character is lost if life force reaches zero.

  • Peddler Quarter-Elf "Foria" - A young (?), self-proclaimed quarter-elf encountered in the forest. Despite his childlike appearance, he claims seniority and, while disclaiming involvement, secretly assists your escape using the forest's ancient spirits.

  • Scenario Scene - The prologue unfolds smoothly like a picture story. Foria's dialogue is cheerful, contrasting with the understated, evocative world-building.

  • Exploration Mode - Progress through the forest by exploring unexplored areas. Exploration success depends on "fog depth," influenced by your stats. If your life force is depleted, use poison or rare "talismans," potentially requiring a return to Foria.

  • Beast Encounters & Hunter Battles - Fierce creatures, including unexpected animals like frogs and rabbits, inhabit the forest. Killing them yields hides for trading with Foria. Unlike typical RPGs, battles don't grant experience. The goal is escape; there are no boss battles, and all encounters are avoidable (requiring luck or skillful play). As a hunter, you use a bow and arrow. Maintain distance to attack safely, though closing the gap risks a one-sided assault. Options include withdrawing or using a "flash" ball provided by Foria.

  • Cloak & Layering System - Create a cloak from gathered materials (branches, resin, leather). Up to three layers enhance abilities, with the total bonus based on the number of layers. Rarely, it restores vitality. Note that the top layer can be damaged and become unusable. The cloak is the sole equipment upgrade; bow and arrows remain unchanged.

  • This isn't just a game! - It's a game about playing the game. A game of chance, strategy, skill, and luck. A game of collection, synthesis, and alchemy. A game where preparation is key. A relaxing game where even casual play yields progress.

  • Autosave - The game autosaves, though not during battles. For safekeeping, close the app from the main menu.

  • What's New in Version 1.2 (Last updated Dec 18, 2024) - Bug fixes and minor improvements. (v1.2 addresses a bug causing unexpected transitions to character creation; v1.1 fixed typos; v1.0 addressed minor bugs, updated messages, and added credits; v0.1 was a test release).
